Members honored at 2020 International Builders' Show
Robert Criner of Criner Remodeling in Yorktown was inducted into the National Remodeling Hall of Fame last month during the International Builders' Show in Las Vegas.
Criner, who was NAHB Remodeler of the Year in 2013 and holds multiple designations, has been a member of the national association and council for 39 years. He is chairing the Remodelers Council of the newly merged Tidewater & Peninsula Building Industry Association in 2020.
Also honored at IBS was past association president Steve Lawson, chairman of the Lawson Cos. He collected a Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Award for Seaside Harbor in Virginia Beach, which won in the category for Best Affordable Development (under 100 units).
IBS returns to Orlando, FL next year Feb. 9-11.
East Coast Development Group awarded 2018 Pinnacle Award
Joe Benton of East Coast Development Group has won TBA's 2018 Pinnacle Award for using the most members to construct his Homearama home at The Creeks of Nansemond.
The annual honor is awarded by the TBA Membership Committee and is designed to encourage builders to "Do Business With A Member!"
Benton's Homearama home, The Blakely, was also a big winner in the People's Choice Awards Competition, taking home the gold award in all seven categories.
